SSR MOLLE Side Plates
Wanna ride out but don’t want to be a nerd with a backpack? These SSR MOLLE Side Plates bolt right up to our SSR Cargo Rack on your Sur-Ron, Surron, SurRon (or however you spell it!) Light Bee, and Segway X model bikes. With the MOLLE grid on each plate your options for strapping on luggage or bolting on hard cases are endless. A bolt pattern to accept 1/4” (6mm) hardware is thrown in as well, because, why not? We also designed our cross-support bracket to allow installation of the stock tail light. Your toolkit, snacks, drinks, bike-locks, or whatever you got, can now be strapped-on or zipped up in a MOLLE-style bag and it won’t be in your way when you’re slaying the trails.
This luggage system is 100% made from light-weight and strong 5052 aluminum. Each part has a tough black powder-coat finish to take a beating and keep looking great for years to come. Every kit comes with two 0.090” (2.3mm) thick laser-cut side brackets, 1 laser-cut and CNC formed rear support bracket made of 0.125” (3mm) thick material, and all necessary stainless steel mounting hardware.
This Pannier Plate can be installed in 2 positions depending on your preference. The forward position utilizes the cross brace in the front, this keeps weight more centralized and guarantees full suspension travel with no collisions. The rear position allows more traditional pannier bags to be used along with a top bag on the rack. When using the Pannier Plates in the rear position, care should always be taken to ensure the support bracket mounted at the rear will clear your tire when the suspension is at full-droop. We don’t know how your suspension is set up or what tire you’re running, but we know it clears on the stock configuration!
This kit weighs in at under 1 lb (0.45 kg), but is capable of supporting up to 10 lbs (4.5 kg) of properly secured loads on each side. We’ve come to this rating based on riding relatively mild terrain. If you’re wailing whoops or hitting jumps with 20lbs on these things you better pump the brakes bro. Joking aside, these things are tough, in the chance they get tweaked in a crash, you can likely just bend them back and keep on trucking. By the way, adding any amount of cargo weight to your bike will change how the bike handles and performs, so be smart, have fun, and as always, ride safe :)
