Gratitude Attitude.
Update: Through this initiative Throwback Bikes was able to donate over 2,000 meals to Feeding America
Three things we can all do:
Winter is coming and it will only get colder! Heading into winter is the perfect time for a closet clean out especially of jackets and winter clothes. These items are often depleted for at risk communities. Donating these articles to a local homeless shelter or women’s shelter is a great way to give back.
— Bonus you can invite members who will be joining you at your table this year to participate and bring their donation items over on Thanksgiving Day.
Stocking up your local food bank with nonperishable and canned goods is crucial for helping them ensure families have what they need to put food on the table this holiday. You can collect on your own or set up a can drive with friends and family. Find out where to donate with Feeding America’s local food bank finder.
Volunteer on Thanksgiving Day to provide hot meals to your community. Operation Turkey operates across the U.S. to give Thanksgiving meals to thousands. You can volunteer in person to prepare, package, or deliver meals.
If none of the above is accessible to you or if you have more interest in supporting local programs, check out Volunteer Match for regional opportunities.
Two things Throwback Bikes is doing:
For every product bought from now until cyber Monday we will donate 10% of profits to Feeding America to provide meals to families in need.
For every post we are tagged in on Instagram of users giving back, we will donate 10 meals to Feeding America and 15 meals if you utilized your bike (any bike) in doing so!
